Details
The LBCC Regatta is based on the
successful formula of a short series of races in the Central Solent area. The
schedule will consist of one short race on Thursday afternoon, two short races
on Friday and, two short races on Saturday. All races have equal status,
but boats are allowed to discard their worst score if they sail all five races.
The Little Britain Challenge Cup 2010 is
organised by– and for – the Construction Industry and attracts the biggest
UK gathering of senior figureheads from the construction and property industry.
Based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, racing is organised by the prestigious
Royal Yacht Squadron and takes place on the Solent giving all competitors the
added excitement of Squadron line starts. The Little Britain Challenge Cup has
the best racing and social events on the circuit, ensuring great fun for
all, on and off the water. Most of the main players in the construction
industry send teams to this event and most participants are top
industry professionals .
Classes and Eligibility
-
Racing or Cruising classes, depending
on ability (boats entering the Cruising classes sail without spinnakers).
The final list of IRC classes are chosen once all of the entries are in, but
in general there are IRC Racing and Cruising classes, Beneteau 40.7 and J/109
classes. but any yacht with a valid IRC rating certificate (min TCC
0.850, max LOA 20m and max draft 3.5m) can enter the Little Britain
Challenge Cup 2010.
